In this paper we analyze the following methods for extending the frequ
ency range of fluxgate magnetometers: suitable design of the electroni
cs, increase of the excitation frequency, and the use of various core
materials (permalloy, amorphous alloys). These methods were applied to
magnetometers which measure, by automatic compensation, the field in
the proposed frequency range. The magnetic field range of 0-100 mu T a
nd the frequency range of 0-3000 Hz can be measured using the same flu
xgate sensor.
