Superconducting critical magnetic fields H-c2(T), magnetoresistance an
d the Hall effect have been investigated for Gd1-xPrxBa2Cu3O7-y single
crystals grown in Pt crucibles. Several essential differences of the
properties of the system, based on nonmagnetic Y3+, were found. The an
isotropy of H-c2(T) was found to be similar to 6, i.e. two times highe
r than for the (Y-Pr)-123 system. Highly anisotropic negative magnetor
esistance and non-linear dependence of the Hall voltage on magnetic fi
eld were observed at low temperatures.
