TESTIS CANCER, CRYOPRESERVATION OF SPERMA TOZOA AND MODALITIES OF GAMETES PRESERVATION - RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

Testis cancer, chemotherapy and radiation can induce temporary or perm anent infertility in men. Cryopreservation of spermatozoa seems an abs olute prerequisite in such situation for male patients who are old eno ugh to procreate. We propose a national retrospective study carried ou t in 17 CECOS. This survey demonstrates a regular increase for semen p reservation in testis cancer and analyses the modalities of gametes pr eservation and their possible use, In view of this activity, we propos e a discussion of the attitude of the various CECOS and of particular cases involving ethical issues.
