M. Merola, THEORETICAL EVALUATION OF THE PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES OF COPPER-LEAD RHEOCAST ALLOYS, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 214(1-2), 1996, pp. 181-185
The use of the copper-lead rheocast alloy as a joining material is ver
y attractive in the design of the plasma-facing components of a thermo
nuclear fusion reactor. Presently, experimental data on its main physi
cal properties are not yet available and therefore they have been esti
mated theoretically. The evaluation of the following properties is per
formed at different alloy compositions: thermal conductivity, density,
specific heat, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, coefficient of therm
al expansion. Their use is suggested for preliminary calculations unti
l the experimental data are obtained.
