ACYLATED FLAVONOIDS FROM BLEPHARIS-CILIARIS

From the ethanolic extract of aerial parts of Blepharis ciliaris one n ovel flavone, apigenin 7-(3 ''-acetyl-6 ''-E-p-coumaroylglucoside), an d one novel flavanone, naringenin 7-(3 ''-acetyl-6 ''-E-p-coumaroylglu coside), were isolated. Their structures were elucidated mostly based on electrospray mass spectrometry and homo- and hetero-nuclear two-dim ensional NMR techniques. No flavonoid has previously been identified w ith aliphatic and aromatic acyl groups on the same monosaccharide in t he 3- and 6-positions, respectively. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Scien ce Ltd
