Abstract
A CFD analysis of air movement and aerosol particle deposition and dis tribution in a ventilated two-zone system with a small interzonal open ing is presented. The comparisons of average particle concentrations i n both zones between computations and experiments are generally satisf actory and acceptable. It is concluded that particle deposition and mi gration are mainly influenced by the particle properties, the ventilat ion conditions and the airflow patterns in the two zones. Small partic les have a greater influence on the indoor air quality than do the lar ge particles. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
