Abstract
A mathematical model describing the suction behaviour of some building materials is presented. Tests have been carried out on granite and li mestone. An evaluation of the evaporation temperature has been carried out with the aid of infrared thermography. In addition, a theoretical approximation of these processes has been developed. Both theoretical and experimental results are discussed in order to evaluate the level of accuracy of a diagnosis of the hydraulic behaviour of materials. C opyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
