Consideration is given to providing adjustability of the system contro
lling an aircraft's longitudinal motion by bringing together the outpu
ts of the system and reference model through parametric optimization o
f the control law. The problem is solved by adaptive identification. C
onvergence of the parameter estimates is studied by cluster analysis.
Different cases such as linear system and reference model, nonlinear s
ystem and reference model, and constrained ranges of the parameters of
the control law are discussed.
