Response of two Cyamopsis genotypes to the four auxins 2, 4-D, NAA, IA
A and picloram in tissue culture were examined. Picloram was most effe
ctive for callus growth of genotypes. NAA concentrations gave good gro
wth. For supporting effective callus growth IAA was used. Auxin, 2, 4-
D, also enhanced the callus growth but range of optimal concentrations
for both the genotypes was broad. These genotypic variations in relat
ion to auxin response were repeatable and may thus reflect genetic dif
ferences.
