Abstract
The problem of stability of positive diatomic molecular ions with the nuclear charges Z(1) and Z(2) and N electrons in a homogeneous magneti c field B is studied for Z(1),Z(2),N,B --> infinity. The conditions of instability are obtained for different relations among Z(1),Z(2),N an d B. A new version of the HVZ theorem for systems in a homogeneous mag netic field is proved.
