Abstract
A rotating ferrofluid submitted to an alternating magnetic field perpe ndicular to the vorticity of the flow exhibits a transverse magnetizat ion. In the low-field regime, a magneto-vortical resonance of the tran sverse susceptibility is observed. The broader the distribution of the characteristic times in the sample, the sharper the observed resonanc e.
