ADDITION-REACTION OF BUCKMINSTERFULLERENE WITH AMINES AND ELECTROSPRAY-IONIZATION MASS-SPECTROMETRY DETERMINATION OF REACTION-PRODUCTS

The addition reactions of C-60 with trimethylenediamine and 3-dimethyl -amino-propylamine were reported. The reaction products were determine d directly by ESI-MS without pre-ionization. The reaction product prec ipitated from toluene, which prevented from polyaminates and led the m ono-diamine adduct as a main product. Addition to main product there a re some C60On(NH(2)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2)NR(2))(m) (R=H, CH3) when the reacti on runs at open air. The mono-diamine adduct may be gotten with contro l reaction condition.
