Abstract
We discuss the size dependency of the optical response of Li, Na, and K clusters. The effects of the ionic structure and of the pseudopotent ial describing the electron-ion interaction are considered. The pseudo potential effect is found to be quite significant, especially in its n onlocal formulation important for Li clusters.
