Abstract
Azo-dyes based on furfural lignocellulose from sunflower akenes have b een synthesized by step reactions of nitration-reduction-diazotization and coupling. The compounds obtained have been characterized by FT-IR , H-1-NMR, UV spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and by their solubilit y in various organic solvents. Cellulosic films coloured with the newl y synthesized dyes have orange and red tint and present good light fas tness.
