Abstract
This paper presents a general evaluation framework of land consolidati on projects (LCPs), based on Flemish and Portuguese case studies. The changes in land use are estimated first. Next, the economic and non-ec onomic effects are determined using appropriate simulation models. Sim ulation models that estimate the effects on farmers' income for both a rable and dairy regions are described with, respectively, a Portuguese and Flemish application.
