Abstract
Based on simulating the material, overloading stress, residual stress and operating stress of warm overloaded pressure vessels, a special st ress corrosion cracking (SCC) test routine was conducted. The test res ults shows that overloading is of benefit to improving SCC resistance and controlling the general operating stress of overloaded pressure ve ssels.
