Abstract
A previously undocumented case of recurrent canker in a Shire mare is described. The canker resolved after parenteral and topical tetracycli ne. A later recurrence of the canker was refractory to tetracycline. K etokonazole, rifampin, DMSO mixture and metronidazole also were used s uccessfully to treat canker recurrences.
