Two new hyphomycetes from Cuba, Haplotrichum perseae anam. sp. nov., f
ound on dead aerial branches of live Persea americana and Solicorynesp
ora kendrickii anam. sp. nov., found on leaf litter of Theobroma cacao
, are described and illustrated. The former has peculiar conidia with
a verrucose, thick (tunica-like) outerwall, and the latter is distingu
ished by hairy conidiophores with a radially lobed basal cell and cyli
ndrical to ellipsoid, 2-4 euseptate conidia with brown central cells a
nd pale brown ends.
