Abstract
A case of spindle cell lipoma of the breast found on mammography in a 53-year-old woman is presented. This rare type of tumor has been previ ously reported on only after its presentation as a palpable mass. Radi ographically it appears as a well-circumscribed mass. Ultrasonographic ally it appears as a homogeneously hyperechoic nodule. Histologically these lesions are composed of spindle cells intermingled with adipocyt es.
