Abstract
A rapid and selective method has been developed for the extraction of Mo-VI with malachite green into nitrobenzene. The effects of various p arameters on the extraction coefficient value, such as effect of pH, t ime of equilibration, solvents, effect of various anions and cations h ave been evaluated. The stoichiometry of metal to reagent determined b y the method of substoichiometric extraction is found to be 1:1; it is further supported by the slope-ratio method.
