Abstract
The investigation of the effect of the cyclopentane ring on the regioc hemistry of the reactions of 2-acetylcyclopentanones 1a-d and beta-met hoxyvinyl trifluoromethyl ketone derivative 2a with hydroxylamine hydr ochloride is reported. The reactions give regio specifically the 4,5-t rimethylene-4,5-dihydroisoxazoles 3a-d in good yields.
