Mv. Pastor et al., AVAILABILITY OF ESSENTIAL METALS IN A CALCAREOUS SOIL AFFECTED BY NICKEL, Fresenius environmental bulletin, 5(5-6), 1996, pp. 319-323
The effects and interactions between Ni and other metals were studied
in a calcareous soil fertilized with sewage sludge. A modification of
the bioavailability of essential metals determined in DTPA extracts at
pH=7.3 and pH=5.3 was appreciated. In general, Fe and Mn were affecte
d but specially Mn. A strong retention of Ni in the calcareous soil wa
s observed diminishing the availability of the metal for plants.
