Abstract
Effects of tributaries on water and sediments of the Tara River (Monte negro) were determined. Factor analysis enables a fundamental ecogeoch emical characterization of the drainage area, as well as the different iation of various sediment-water interactions and heavy metal associat ions. The effects of tributaries originating from two regions - a flys ch region and a limestone region - on river water and sediment charact eristics of the uncontaminated drainage area section are clearly disti nguished.
