Abstract
Dissolved lead (av. 2.04 mu g/L) constituted 86% of total lead in Umm said Marine Area. Elevated levels were recorded opposite to industrial discharge. PbCO3 degrees is the dominant species contributing to 53% of dissolved lead, Non-residual Pb constituted 30% of total lead in se diments. Pb is accumulated in Ichthyoplankton (av. 5.41 mu g/g) > zoop lankton (av. 3.66. mu g/) > phytoplankton (av. 2.07 mu g/g). The resid ence time for Pb in the region is estimated to be 1.02 years.
