Abstract
Brillouin spectroscopy, dilatometry and calorimetry results have been used to investigate the temperature anomaly of the mode and thermal Gr uneisen parameters around the glass transition of the fragile liquid p oly(vinyl acetate). These results are compared with those of the stron g liquids C17H36, C24H50 and 4-cyano-4-6-alkylbiphenyl.
