The electrical resistivity of a series of dilute polycrystalline Cu(AI
) alloys has been investigated in the temperature range 4.2-300 K. The
phonon part of the resistivity at low temperature varies as T-n where
4 < n < 5. The temperature T-H corresponding to the maxima of the dev
iations from Matthiessen's rule Delta(c, T) obeys the Kagan-Zhernov la
w, i.e. T-H similar to c(1/5). At high temperatures the slope of Delta
(c, T) depends on the impurity concentration and changes sign from neg
ative to positive.
