Abstract
Further investigation of the mesomorphism of hydrogen bonded complexes formed between alkoxystilbazoles and benzenedicarboxylic acids has le d to a reinterpretation of the phase behaviour. We have found unexpect edly that the most stable complex is at an equimolar ratio.
