Abstract
We describe successful placement of a percutaneous endoscopic gastrost omy via the transnasal approach in a patient mho required intermaxilla ry fixation for an open mandible fracture, and required enteral nutrit ion for chronic respiratory failure and traumatic brain injury. This m ethod may be useful in other cases where tile transoral route is not a vailable for endoscopic insertion of enterostomy tubes.
