Abstract
Leukemic infiltration of the prostate is unusual. Acute retention of u rine as the first clinical manifestation of an unsuspected, asymptomat ic chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is found only in sporadic case r eports. This report documents a case of CLL in a 65-year-old man prese nting with acute urinary retention. The literature pertinent to this t opic is briefly discussed.
