Abstract
Time integrated measurements of the line emission of hydrogen-like and helium-like neon from a dense plasma focus device were performed. Rel ative intensities of Lyman-series emission from Ne X were measured end -on and side-on showing strong deviation from thermal equilibrium and indicating substantial population inversion between levels n = 5 and n = 2.
