A change in the rent-structure in housing associations which reflects
the market rent of the flat, is discussed. The Danish system of selfde
termination among tenants will lead to differences in the vent, which
not necessarily reflects differences in quality. Equalizing that kind
of differences in the present structure demands a system of planned ec
onomy. A concrete model for rentadjustment in areas with social proble
ms is described Such art operation is combined with great problems. Th
e only solution is a change in the ownership of the associasitions. Bu
t a change will smash the system of selfdetermination.
