Anders Olgaard was a member of the advisory committee for the Faroe Is
lands during the period 1964- 76, a period with rapidly increasing sta
ndard of living due to income from fish exports. The committee visited
the islands for a week every year and submitted annual reports on the
Faroese economic development to the prime minister: It worked in clos
e cooperation with the Faroese economic council on national account fi
gures and it formulated public investment budgets.
