Abstract
Owing to their chemical structure triazine herbicides can undergo N-ni trosation. In this work the formation of N-nitroso derivatives of atra zine, terbuthylazine, terbutryn, and terbumeton was evaluated. The kin etics of formation is discussed in relation to the structural features of the compounds and the ratio triazine/NO2- in amounts similar to th ose present in human gastric juice.
