Abstract
The reaction of CdBr2 with H(2)biim (H(2)biim = 2,2'-biimidazole) in a n aqueous solution affords the linear coordination polymer [CdBr2(H(2) biim)](n). An X-ray crystallographic study of this complex reveals a 1 -dimensional chain in which adjacent pseudo-octahedrally coordinated C d atoms are bridged in a bis(mu-bromo) fashion.
