The kinetics and mechanism of catalytic redoxing for the natural polyp
henols, e.g. catehine (+) containing molecular oxygen, hydrogen peroxi
de and ions of Fe(III) in the systems: Fe(II) - oxygen - (+)-catehine;
Fe(II) - (+) catehine-hydrogen peroxide; Fe(II) (+) catehine. The kin
etic equations were introduced and the effective speed constants were
determined The mechanisms schemes in the given systems were done. By t
be inhibitors method it was proved that redoxing of (+) catehine in th
e Fe(II) - hydrogen peroxide - catehine (+) system is carried out by O
H radicals. In the system a redox restoring cycle Fe(II) <----> Fe(III
) is formed, in which (+) catehine is playing the part of a reducing a
gent.
