Abstract
In a single set of experiments we have investigated the effect of ozon e on the radiation chemistry of PCB 155 in isooctane. The results sugg est that PCB decomposition in this oil-like alkane solution is inhibit ed by ozone, probably due to the ozone-electron capture reaction. Hydr oxyl radicals generated by ozone-electron capture apparently do not pl ay a role in PCB decomposition in this matrix. Copyright (C) 1996 Else vier Science Ltd
