Radiochemical neutron activation analysis for the determination of Se
in biological samples is described. Postirradiation chemical separatio
n permits the good separation efficiency of elemental selenium (95+/-3
%) immediately after thermal neutron activation. Biological materials
were decomposed by wet combustion and then elemental selenium was coll
ected after adding cysteine to the resulting solution. Copyright (C) 1
