Tw. Ng, SCATTERING-ANGLE CALIBRATION IN AN AUTOMATED SMALL-ANGLE LIGHT-SCATTERING APPARATUS, Journal of applied polymer science, 62(4), 1996, pp. 617-619
Quantitative analysis in the small-angle light scattering technique fo
r crystalline polymer studies is facilitated by the incorporation of c
harge-coupled detectors and image digitization and processing schemes
which enable the intensity and angular dependence of scattered light t
o be measured. This task, however, can only be successfully achieved i
f a calibration procedure, where each pixel in the camera is related t
o its respective scattering angle component, is first implemented. In
this article, a rapid and convenient calibration procedure that uses t
he diffraction pattern from a grating with a predetermined center-to-c
enter distance is outlined. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
