Abstract
The chiral calixarene analogs bridged by a (R,R)-cystine unit were syn thesized. NMR studies reveal that the phenolformaldehyde moieties of t he macrocycles adopt a chiral helical geometry induced by the cystine bridge and the macrocycles form a twisted concave. This helicity is en hanced at low temperature.
