Abstract
Qualitative and quantitative composition of equilibrium mixtures of po lyoxymethylene glycols in formaldehyde aqueous solutions (30-60 wt %) was investigated by C-13 NMR in the temperature range of 50-100 degree s C. Equilibrium constants were calculated, and their temperature depe ndence was determined for the reactions yielding linear hydrated forma ldehyde dimer, trimer, and tetramer. Heat effects were determined for these reactions.
