SYNTHESIS AND STUDY OF STEROIDAL[16,17-D]TRIAZOLES

Steroidal[16,17-d]triazoles 6 and 11 have been prepared. Treatment of 16-oximino derivative 1 with phenyl- and p-fluorophenylhydrazines affo rds the corresponding hydrazones 2 and 7. Refluxing of 2 and 7 in acet ic anhydride gives the triazole derivatives 3 and 8. Hydrolysis, Oppen auer oxidation and epoxidation of these compounds furnish the oxiranes 6 and 11. Antiinflammatory and antineoplastic activities of these com pounds have also been discussed.
