Abstract
The electrochemical oxidation of manganese(II) solutions is a wide spr eaded process for the fabrication of manganese dioxide. The starting p eriod of manganese dioxide deposition in hot and concentrated solution s was examined by use of chronoamperometric measurements. The influenc e of two and three valent iron ions on nucleation and crystal growth i s discussed.
