Abstract
We study the optical response of periodic stratified structures made u p of a nonlocal excitonic semiconductor and a dispersionless conductor in the energy regime of the exciton-plasmon interaction. The investig ations are performed by computing the dispersion relations of the coll ective normal modes and the optical reflectance R(p) for p-polarized l ight. Calculations are carried out for superlattices of ZnO and Ag. Re sults indicate that, in addition of the surface excitons-plasmons inte ractions, coupling of the film modes with those of the adjacent layers takes place to form bulk waves of the superlattice.
