Gs. Volkov et al., CHARGE-COUPLED-DEVICES AS POSITION-SENSITIVE DETECTORS OF X-RAY-RADIATION, Instruments and experimental techniques, 39(3), 1996, pp. 427-435
Sensitivity and spatial resolution of charge-coupled devices (CCDs) we
re theoretically and experimentally studied in the energy range of X-r
ay quanta. The experimental results were compared with the proposed th
eoretical model of interaction between X-ray radiation and a linear CC
D. On the basis of CCD characteristics obtained, a CCD detector for a
crystal X-ray spectrograph was constructed. Using this instrument, the
spectra of plasma emission in the energy range of 2-3 keV were studie
d in the pulsed thermonuclear setup ANGARA-5-1. Some other possible fi
elds of CCD application are considered.
