Small-plot field experiments and subsequent technological storage expe
riments carried out in 1995 were done to test effect of foliar and non
foliar application of an aqueous suspension of RASTIN 30 DKV on root y
ield of sugar beet, on its technological quality during harvest, stora
ge and subsequent processing in sugar-processing plants. The root yiel
d was not significantly affected by the application. However, a positi
ve effect was observed on the sugar content nad yield of refined sugar
. Similarly positive effects were found during storage. Treated sugar
beet exhibited lower sugar losses but no fungical or fungistatic effec
ts on storage diseases could be established. In separate processing of
control and treated sugar beet no significant differences could be ob
served in the various technological parameters.
