Abstract
The ring- opening polymerization of delta - caprolactone catalyzed by a neutral protease from Bacillus subtilis has been studied in acetone, heptane solvents or in the absence of the solvent at 50 degrees c. Th e lower oligomeric product containing mainly cyclic pentamer and tetra mer was identified after 10 days in heptane.
