Abstract
The title steroid derivative, 21-acetoxy-11 beta, 17 alpha-dihydroxy-3 ,20-dioxopregna-1,4-dienyl 16 alpha-propionate monohydrate, C26H34O8.H 2O, crystallizes in the P6(1) space group. The hydrogen-bonded steroid molecules, related by a hexagonal screw axis, form a cylindrical tunn el containing a disordered water chain.
