R. Cassone et al., CLINICAL-FEATURES OF SUBJECTS WITH MITRAL-VALVE PROLAPSE - A STUDY WITH 24-HOUR AMBULATORY BLOOD-PRESSURE MONITORING, Cardiology, 87(5), 1996, pp. 374-378
The present case-control study provides evidence that the correlation
between mitral valve prolapse and the clinical observation of low bloo
d pressure persists throughout a 24-hour period as documented by ambul
atory blood pressure monitoring. Moreover, the blood pressure circadia
n rhythm, even though preserved, seems to follow a different course ov
er the 24-hour period in subjects with mitral valve prolapse.
