Abstract
The present case-control study provides evidence that the correlation between mitral valve prolapse and the clinical observation of low bloo d pressure persists throughout a 24-hour period as documented by ambul atory blood pressure monitoring. Moreover, the blood pressure circadia n rhythm, even though preserved, seems to follow a different course ov er the 24-hour period in subjects with mitral valve prolapse.
