Abstract
Mixed-metal phosphites can be obtained by refluxing mixtures of single -metal phosphates in phosphoric acid until they dissolve; the new mixe d phosphates are slightly soluble in aqueous sulfuric acid and have a greatly increased surface area relative to their precursors.
