Beagley et al., THE REACTIONS OF GALLIUM METAL WITH (P-MEOC(6)H(4))(3)ASI2 AND ET(3)ASI(2) - ISOLATION OF A NOVEL GALLIUM(II) ARSINE COMPLEX WITH A GALLIUM-GALLIUM BOND AND THE X-RAY CRYSTAL-STRUCTURES OF GAI3[(P-MEOC(6)H(4))(3)AS] AND GA2I4(ASET(3))(2), Chemical communications, (18), 1996, pp. 2179-2180
The reactions of (p-MeOC(6)H(4))(3)AsI2 and Et(3)AsI(2) with gallium m
etal powder produce the metal complexes GaI3[(p-MeOC(6)H(4))(3)As] and
Ga2I4(AsEt(3))(2), respectively; the latter represents a unique examp
le of a gallium-tertiary arsine complex containing a gallium-gallium b
ond, and both structures illustrate the subtle effect of the organic s
ubstituent on the arsenic atoms.
